Raising Awareness About Ageing In Rural and Remote Settings

Summary

An evaluation of an anti-ageism campaign in Pingelly 2021 found that “The Pingelly anti-ageism campaign, Living the Life in Pingelly and Giving Ageism the Boot!, has successfully met all the project‘s key objectives and planned outcomes. Community awareness about ageing and ageism has increased within Pingelly, campaign events and campaign media outputs have engaged a wide range of community members and a sustainable calendar of ongoing events to continue this important work is now in development”.

“The success of this campaign and the vision of the Pingelly Project also highlights that rural and remote communities can provide valuable leadership in developing new age-friendly initiatives and, in particular, much-needed models for the regions”. “This Pingelly project evaluation report is intended to support knowledge sharing and provide successful project models to inform future work in the sector”.
